Riftware does not sell computer components or software. What Riftware does do, is service your existing components and software. We can also aid you in selecting the software or components you need most, and will be the most comfortable handling. We can also assist in deciding where to purchase, and in installing your new purchase.

Network Design

Riftware can provide you with consulting on network design. We specialize in small business or home office users where you want to setup a simple cost effective network that you won't have to worry about.
Individuals:
More families purchase a second computer every day. For the average consumer, the factors you need to consider when networking two or more computer systems together can be confusing. We can help teach you everything you need to know to get the most out of your computers.
Home Office:
Are you contemplating getting DSL or a Cable Modem? Do you have more than one computer that needs to communicate? We can help you plan how you are going to set everything up. Once the design and equipment list is created, we can either implement it for you or you can do it yourself. NAT, Proxy Servers, and Routers are no problem.

Network Implementation

Once you've determined the best design for your network, the process of actually setting up the equipment begins. Riftware offers a full range of services including setting up the LAN (Local Area Network) or WAN (Wide Area Network).
After your network is up and running, Riftware wiil continue to service and maintain your network. Whether it be training someone to operate the network under normal circumstances, or simply acting as a backup in case you run into trouble setting up and running the network yourself.

Server Installation:
Whether you want to run an e-commerce operation, network your employees together, put up a simple web site of family pictures, or just install DSL for faster web surfing, you may need a server. Riftware can help you decide what type of computer to use for your server, which software packages will work best for you, and can run the wires to connect it all.
Server Configuration:

Your small web site takes off, and you decide to set up an e-commerce site, or your small business grows and you have three times as many employees working on your network. Whether small changes or large, Riftware will come in and reconfigure your server settings to best serve your needs.

Software Development

Riftware Development offers consulting for small to medium software development projects. We have experience in network programming and database access.
We can create your program in Java, C++, Perl, Active Server Pages (VBScript), JavaScript, DHTML, and Visual Basic. Riftware Developers have experience in very small, single person projects, and in large, library-based, team-oriented projects.
Riftware has in-house support for non-web-based projects on either Windows (Nt and 2000) or Linux (Suse and RedHat) platforms. On client provided machines, we can also develop your project on Solaris and HPUX.

Web Development

Through the use of TLC WebCreations (A Riftware sister company) we can provide you with everything you need to setup your own website.
We have experience in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Active Server Pages, and Perl. Site architecture, page layout, graphics, forms, and database access can all be provided through TLC Web Creations.
Options include Linux or NT operating systems, Apache or IIS Webservers. We do not sell the software but we can install the servers, configure the software, design and publish the site, and maintain it for you over time.
If you don't want to host the site yourself, we still help you with picking a service provider to host your site, help you register your domain name, and submit your site to search engines on completion.
